YChat Social — Game Server Integration & Admin Platform

YChat is a social platform built on the WoWonder template. The platform was already deployed when Chilipi came on board. The scope was to integrate ByteSun (a third-party games provider) into the social experience — connecting games, users, payments, and admin controls into one cohesive system.

Game Server (PHP):

• Built a custom PHP server to act as the middleware between YChat and the ByteSun game server.
• Handles user identity, available currency balance, and score reporting back to the YChat database on each game session.
• Reads and writes directly to the YChat database to keep user and game data in sync.

Ad-Gated Game Screen:

• Created a game launch screen that plays an ad before loading the game.
• Users can skip after 5 seconds, after which they are taken directly into the game.

Per-Game Tutorial System:

• Built a separate tutorial web app that loads as a popup overlay within the game screen.
• Each tutorial fetches its content dynamically from the database based on the active game, including game-specific images and instructions.

Admin Panel:

• Analytics dashboard with charts for monitoring game usage and platform activity.
• Game management: upload new games, manage existing ones, and toggle game availability.
• Payment gateway controls: enable or disable individual gateways from the admin interface.

Wallet System & Payments:

• Integrated 5 payment gateways into the platform to handle coin purchases.
• Built a dedicated coin purchase page where users can top up their in-platform balance.
• Manages the full wallet lifecycle — from purchase through to in-game currency deduction and balance updates.
