Numzy — Math Equation Puzzle Game
A math puzzle game where kids drag and drop numbers into a connected grid to complete equations and hit the target result — with a timer, lives, difficulty levels, and hints.
Numzy is an educational math puzzle game developed for Viyu Ventures. Players are presented with a grid of number tiles and operator diamonds (+, −, ×) connected by paths, with some tiles left empty. The goal is to drag the correct numbers from a tray at the bottom into the blank slots so every equation on the grid resolves to the displayed target result.
Core gameplay mechanics:
- Drag-and-drop puzzles: Kids pick numbers from a shuffled tray and place them into the correct empty slots on the grid to satisfy all connected equations simultaneously.
- Target result: Each level shows a single goal number (e.g. = 30, = 66) that the completed grid must produce — encouraging children to think across multiple equations at once.
- Operators baked in: Addition, subtraction, and multiplication nodes are fixed on the grid; only the number tiles need to be placed, keeping the focus on arithmetic reasoning.
- Timer and lives: A countdown clock and three-heart life system add gentle pressure and encourage focus without overwhelming younger players.
- Difficulty progression: Levels scale from Intermediate to Advanced, increasing grid complexity and the number of empty slots as kids improve.
- Hints and restart: A hint button and one-tap restart let kids recover gracefully when stuck, keeping frustration low and engagement high.
Numzy is designed to sharpen mental arithmetic and logical thinking through play — making number sense feel like a puzzle to solve rather than a lesson to sit through.
